Winter is almost over and we are transitioning towards spring now. While I love the bright pinks and light makeup during spring and summer, I miss the winter glow. But who said that glowy makeup is only for the winters? You can achieve that winter glow and have a flawless base by using the products mentioned below all year round. I dont do this makeup every day. It is just for those special occasions and when I have extra time on hand.
After I do the whole skincare shebang, I spritz the Omorovicza Queen of Hungary mist onto my face. This is something that I have started doing very recently. The spray dries up almost instantly leaving my skin feeling plump and hydrated.
To get a smooth texture, I apply the Benefit Porefessional onto the places where I have some pores, which is my cheeks, sides of my nose, forehead and chin.
I do not suffer from very dark undereyes or redness so I avoid this step and an extra layer of makeup. The L.A Girl Pro Conceal HD correctors come in a variety of shades and you can chose one for your concern like the orange for dark circles, the green for redness.
My recent favorite is got to be the Loreal Infallible 24h Foundation. I got on to the band wagon pretty late. But, better late than never. I love the flawless finish it gives without looking cakey. I use it with my very trusted PAC Cosmetics Ultimate Beauty Blender Sponge.
This is one product from my vanity that I go through a ton. I have been using the Maybelline FitMe Concealer, which is a very close dupe for my all time favorite Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I just apply is on some spots, if there are any, around my mouth and blend.
You don’t want to have a nice glowy face but with tired looking eye. Applying an eye brighter like the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in the shade Light below your eyes in a triangle shape instantly brightens the whole look. To set everything, Just dust some powder. The Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder is a great pick.
- Bronze and Highlight
A little bit of bronzer to give you the sun kissed look is very essential, in my opinion. I use the bronzer (Luminous Bronze Light) from my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette. To get an overall glowy look, I do not apply highlight just on my cheekbones, but use the Iridescent Strobe Light (1st Row, last shade) from the palette all over my face with a very light hand.
Phew! The last step but a very important one is to set the whole look that we have spent so much time doing. I use the MAC Fix Plus. It not only keeps everything in place for a long time but also gives the complexion slightly dewy feel.
I hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this post.
