How To Get Back On Track With 2018 Goals

So the first month of 2018 has already passed by. It just feels like yesterday when I was reflecting over the year 2017 was and thinking about what goals I wanted to achieve in 2018. I am sure a lot of you have set some goals or resolutions for yourself for 2018. But have you kept up with them? Did you just do those for the first 10 days and then the excitement fizzled off? When I look back on 2017, I think of it as a year full of achievement. In one of my previous posts, I spoke about how I achieved the goals that I had set for myself in 2017. Hence, I started 2018 with a lot more determination and zeal and also with a feeling of accomplishment.

But a few days into the new year, I saw myself slipping and not working towards those goals. So here are a few ways which I have implemented to stick to my goals :

Write Down Everything You Want To Achieve…

…if you haven’t already. And well, not everything, but be realistic. The first rule of success is to set achievable goals. Write them in a place where you will see them often, like a pinboard over your desk, or your planner. When you see your goals written out in front you, you’ll be reminded to achieve them.

Set Monthly Goals

In order to achieve the big goals, you need to think of a way to achieve them. Think of it as a roadmap, the destination being the big goals. Setting monthly goals will give you a great deal of inspiration if you achieve them. So, in the scheme of achieving bigger things, I decided to set myself monthly goals. In my bullet journal cum planner, I have decided to make a monthly dashboard, which will include my monthly goals. For example, if one of your goals was to lose weight or to be fit in 2018, then set yourself a monthly goal of going to the gym 4 times a week. One of my 2018 goals was to grow my blog, youtube and social media. So for January, my goal was to have at least 600 YT subscribers and 7000 Instagram followers. So I know to achieve this target I need to at least put up two posts on Instagram daily and one video a week on YouTube.

I have already crossed by YT target, but Instagram being the B***h it is, has again changed its algorithm, I havent yet achieved my target.
