Everyone has been obsessed with Kylie Jenner’s plump, bee-stung-like lips lately. You don’t need to get expensive lip surgeries or lip fillers. You can achieve the look just by using a few products. I too have thin lips. And every now and then, when I have a lot of time in hand to get ready (read when my husband is not standing on my head telling me to make it quick), I work on my lips to make them look bigger.
Step 1 – Prep your lips
You don’t want dry flaky lips, do you? Scrub your lips using a lip scrub or if you don’t have a lip scrub at hand then simply use a dry toothbrush and gently rub it in circular movement over your lips.
Apply lip balm to keep your lips moisturized.
Step 2 – Nude out your lips
Dab a little bit of concealer on your lips to even them out and cancel out any pigmentation.
Step 3 – Define your lips
Using a lip liner, outline your lips a long your lip line. Then, with the same lip liner fill in your lips.
Step 4 – Line your lips
Take a darker shade of any lip liner and line the outer corners of your lips.
Step 5 – Lipstick
Apply your lipstick.
Step 6 – Gloss it up
Apply gloss over your lips. You can apply any gloss but a shimmer or clear gloss would be preferable. Shimmer catches the light and makes the lips look plumper.
Step 7 – Highlight
To give that 3-D effect to your lips, take a little bit of highlighter and just dab it in the center of your lips.
Step 8 – Conceal your look
Apply concealer on the outer corners of your lips below the lip line and blend using your fingers or Beauty Blender.
And you are done. Phew! Those were a lot of steps. You can use any products to fake bigger lips. But for my go-to look I like to have a lip and use a combination of MAC lip liner in Soar and MAC lipstick in Twig or Cosmo.
