Its All About The Brows

Eyebrows are having a major moment right now. Why not? Eyebrows are the most important feature of your face, which is why finding the perfect shape for your face type is essential. Some people are naturally blessed with thick, fuller eyebrows, while others have to use products to make it appear polished. I would like to say that my eyebrows have a decent shape and thickness. But while getting it threaded once, a few years ago, the lady spoiled them and I now I have to roam around with lopsided eyebrows. Here comes in all the eyebrow products.

Well, shaping your eyebrows isn’t an easy task. I spend about 10-15 minutes of my makeup routine doing my brows. I have recently started noticing some sparse bits in the middle, so I like to fill those gaps and also bring my eyebrows at an equal level. I have been trying out a few different products and a number of techniques to see what suits me the best.

I started using a combination of dark brown and black shades from my Naked Basics palette. I tried it for a few days, but realized that the color wears off very quickly.

I then tried on the Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper pencil. It is a dual ended pencil, having powder on end and pencil on the other. It is quite light so I ended up spending a lot of time on my brows when using it.

Last year, I got the Soap and Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Pencil. I really enjoyed using this one. It has the pencil on one end and a spoolie on the other. It has a good color payoff and looks very naturaly. It is super easy to draw with. And the spoolie helps to brush off the extra color applied or just put the brows back in shape. But sadly it got over and you cant get it in India. It is considered to be a dupe of the Anastasia Brow Wiz

That’s when I tried out the Mistine 3D Brows Secret Brow Set. It was on recommendation of a blogger. It has 3 products – a pencil, a shadow and a tinted brow gel. I loved using the pencil side and sometime using the shadow bit. But I didn’t like the way my brows looked with the tinted brow gel. It looked extremely bold and artificial.

My most recent acquisition was last month, on a late night whim, when I ordered the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade. It is a creamy product in a glass pot. It doesn’t come with a brush so you need to buy that too if you don’t have any angled brush. It comes in a ton of shades for you will get a match for your brows definitely. I am in absolute love with this product. It is so satiny and creamy and is very easy to draw the perfect outline for your brows. It fills in the brows perfectly and makes it look very natural.

I think I have found THE product and technique for my brows., but I would love to hear your suggestions. Do let me know in the comments section below.

I prefer ABH Dipbrow when I have time and patience to go in for light small strokes, on my lazy days, I use either a dark brown shade from the NYX palette or MAC Blackberry shadow!
