Has anyone heard of ‘Combination Hair Type’? Well, just like you skin, even your hair type can be combination. What does that mean? It means you have oily scalp and roots but your hair is dry. So do you use two shampoos – one on your scalp and the other on your hair? No, who that the time to do that. Here comes Kerastase Specifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo for your rescue.
I have combination hair, which I realised just last year. After trying a ton of different shampoos and conditioners, sometimes for dry hair, sometimes for oily hair, sometime for normal hair, I was recommended Kerastase Specifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo by my hair dresser. 2 years back I had tried some range of Kerastase but did not like it. Obviously, because I was not using the correct shampoo for my hair type.
Kerastase Specifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo, as the name suggests, is a balancing shampoo for oily roots and sensitised lengths. As mentioned above, I have tried many shampoos for oily hair. They left my hair feeling very dry and coarse. Bain Divalent is a perfect shampoo which clears the excess oil from my scalp and leaves my hair soft. I can go without a hair wash for 2-3 days now whereas earlier I would have to wash my hair every single day.
I use a coin size amount for my mid-length hair and massage it thoroughly on my roots. It lathers up pretty well too. I follow with a light weight conditioner.
It is quite expensive, but when it comes to hair and skin I do not usually compromise too much. I am already on my third bottle.
