My 2016 Makeup Favorites

2016 Makeup Favorites

Today I am rounding up some of my favorite and most used products from 2016. Some of them are new discoveries but some are my Holy Grail products. 2016 was a great year for beauty finds. I discovered some new products that I cannot do without. I also experimented with new makeup trends and looks and found out what kind of looks suit me the most. So here are my top makeup products from 2016…

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation – This is by far my most loved product. It is oil-free, long lasting and gives my face the most natural and radiant look. It featured in my 2015 favorites also. Click here to read My 2015 Makeup Favorites. Read full review here.

Lakme 9 to 5 CC Cream – It is a lightweight and semi-matte CC cream with medium coverage. I find it perfect for everyday wear. It also blends very easily and is extremely affordable.

Maybelline Fit ME Concealer – It is not an exact dupe of the Nars Creamy Concealer but, in my opinion, it ranks very close. It is creamy yet does not feel heavy on the skin. It has medium coverage but can be easily built up to give a full coverage.

MAC Matte Power Blush in Desert Rose – A soft brownish pink blush, it gives a very natural-looking flush to the cheeks. It makes for a very good everyday work-wear blush.

theBalm – Mary- Lou Manizer – It is a very pretty champagne hued highlighter, which gives a nice sheen to the face. it blends easily and can also be used as an eye shadow too. Read full review here.

theBalm – Bahama Mama Bronzer – I use it less as a bronzer but more as a contouring powder. It is medium to dark brown in color and very pigmented.

MAC Eyeshadow Quad – I have the shades the All That Glitters, Cranberry, Expensive Pink and Sable. These are my most used shades. They go well with Indian outfits as well as for everyday looks. The quad is perfect for travelling. Read full review here.

Loreal Super Gel Liner Gel Intenza – This tiny tub of the gel liner is extremely pigmented. It is very smooth and creamy. It dries up quickly and once dried, does not smudge.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – So glad that this mascara is finally available in India. The brush has two sides – one with smaller bristles which are great for reaching the roots of the lashes and the other side with larger bristles which open up and fan out the lashes.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural – I use it as a setting powder after applying foundation and concealer and it gives a very glowy yet a very natural sheen to the face.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting PowdersDim Light which is a neutral peach beige powder and Diffused Light, which is a soft, warm, pale yellow powder that reduces redness. These powders are finely milled, blur imperfections and highlight the complexion. They give a beautiful skin like sheen to the face. Read full review here.

My most used lip products from 2016 are MAC Cosmo Lipstick – a warm mauvish pink lipstick with an amplified cream finish formula, Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon in Peach Me 08 – a velvety matte peachy pink lipstick with opaque finish, Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Double Dare – a coralish nude, light wear liquid lipstick and NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Hot Red – a long lasting, creamy lip pencil.

MAC Fix Plus setting spray – Onfused with chamomile, green tea, cucumber etc. gives a nice dewy look. It makes the makeup last longer and gets rid of the cakeyness.

PAC Cosmetics Ultimate Beauty Blender Sponge – A close enough dupe of the Original Beauty Blender. Read full review here.
