I have been quite MIA the last month. Working as corporate lawyer is taking up all of my time. But hopefully it isn’t for too long. Will talk more about it some other time. But now it is time for the monthly favorites again.
- Loreal Elnett Satin Hairspray
November was the month of festivities and Diwali parties. My hair is quite limp and naturally very straight. No hair style stays for too long. I curl my hair and it is back to being straight in just a matter of maximum an hour. I though to give this hairspray a go since it is a cult classic of many hair dressers world wide. I have the normal strength one and I must say it does a decent job of keeping my hair curled for at least a few hours. That’s good enough for me. As long as I can have any hair style other than having it straight.

- Lakme Absolute Drama Stylist Eye Shadow Crayon
Wow, that was a long name. I have this in the shade ‘Pink’. I bought this a day before Karvachath because I needed a pinkish eye shadow to wear with my outfit. This was the first crayon kind of eye shadow I tried and I really like it. These crayon type eye shadows are very easy to use and blend. You don’t need a brush with these. They stays on for a very long time. The only thing I don’t like is that it requires sharpening.

- Maybelline Fashion Brow Shaper
I have never paid too much attention to my eye brows. But when Maybelline came up with this brow shaper I thought of giving it a go and to my surprise it does make a difference in how your entre face appears after you have worked on your brows. Maybelline launched two shades – brown and grey. I have the brown one which is a dark brown and a perfect match for my eye brows. It is dual ended with the pencil on one end and powder on the other. The pencil is very light which is quite good as you don’t end up looking like you’ve painted your brows after using this. My brows are quite full in any case so I do not need a lot of product, just a little bit of definition.

- QVS Smudger Brush
I needed a brush for applying eye shadow below my waterline to give a smokey effect. So during the Great Nykaa Diwali Sale, I ordered this QVS brush and to my surprise it does a pretty good job. The bristle are soft so it doesn’t hurt the eye while using on my waterline.

- Loreal Mat Magique Compact
I must admit, when I first bought this product I didn’t like it at all. I thought it made my face look chalky and artificial. So I stopped using it. Then a few days back, I thought of giving it another go. This time around, I tried it with a brush and not the sponge it comes with. And needless to stay I quite liked it. It gave a mat finish to my face. Though the oil controlling power is not that great but its good for the winter time when you skin is less oily.
