Being a blogger has its perks. We get to attend product launch events where the representatives of a particular brand talk about the new product launched. They also sometimes give us samples of the products to try first hand and talk about our experience. A few months back I attended one such event by Oriflame, introducing their Love Nature range of products. But this event was nothing like I had attended ever before.
We were taken to a place called Surajpur Wetlands. When they told us about it I was very skeptical, honestly. But reaching there was a different experience all together. We were in the lap of nature, in the midst of wetlands. The fun part was that we planted trees there. While telling us about the new range, which is called ‘Love Nature’ we were also told how Oriflame as a brand is concerned about our planet earth and the initiatives it takes to give back what it takes.
The Love Nature range uses all natural ingredients that are simple and good for us as well as our planet. The range consists of 12 ranges and 24 products for bath, body and hair. All these products are biodegradable which means that they are capable of being decomposed by natural process and don’t have a negative impact on the environment. The hair products are silicone free. The scrubs use natural origin beads as exfoliants.
I used a couple of their products from this range. All these products firstly smell amazing. I used their Cleansing Tea Tree Wipes which felt very refreshing. They contain natural Tea Tree extract which helps in getting rid of blemishes. They work really well as an after gym wipe. I keep them in the gym bag. So after I am done, I just wipe out the sweat with these wipes. I also used their Olive Oil and Aloe Vera Shower Gel (Rs. 449/-). It has really nice mild fragrance. When I first used it I thought since its in gel form, it could be little drying on the skin. I have very dry skin. But surprisingly it left my body feeling really soft.
The last product I used was the Wheat and Coconut Oil for dry hair (Rs. 99/-). I don’t have dry hair, rather I have quite an oily scalp. I just applied this oil on my hair and not the root. I left it on for about 30 – 35 minutes. To my surprise it was a very lightweight oil. It washed off easily. I loved its fragrance.
All in all I loved the products that I used from this range. I will be trying out more products soon. The initiatives that Oriflame as a global brand takes towards giving back to the planet are commendable.
