I couldn’t have been happier to have summer upon us. Vacation time, sun, sand, beach, chilling by the pool, drinking icy cocktails – it doesn’t get any better. Well, lets just snap out of my little dream world and face the reality – endless working hours, countless mugs of caffeine, being stuck in the city. With the temperature constantly rising, it is also time to switch up your makeup routine and go minimal. You don’t want a ton of heavy makeup on your face only for it to melt off in an hour.
Foundations are usually little heavy. So opt for a light BB or a CC cream with SPF to keep things light. I have been using the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. It moisturizes, evens out and hides any pigmentation spots on your face. It has a medium coverage which is easily buildable. I cannot go a day without using the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish. It is a finely milled, very light powder which again evens out and sets the makeup without making it look cakey.
Starting off with the brows, I like to use the Soap and Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil to fill in any gaps. It has a pencil on one end and a spoolie on the other. The pencil has a light color which makes my eye brows look naturally perfect. I am obsessed with All That Glitters eye shadow from MAC. I use it all over my lids to give a subtle wash of color.
Lately I have been avoiding the perfect winged liner look and going for a natural, smudgy one. I use the Revlon ColorStay One Stroke Defining Eyeliner on my upper lash line and smudge it using a brush. No look is complete without mascara. My lashes feel naked when I don’t apply mascara. I am in love with the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara.
Keeping lips simple and moisturized with the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Curviest Caramel. It is hydrating and also has a good color play off for a tinted lip balm.
So there are my summer picks, let me know what you love wearing in the summer.
